This is the blog of a doctoral student at The Ohio State University. The focus will be on the state and future of the media, but topics will range from politics and philosophy to the general experiences and life of a grad student. It also serves as a place for me to post examples and various stuff for the courses I teach.
I am a second-year mass communication doctoral student in the School of Communication at The Ohio State University. My main interests are in new media and its effects of politics and journalism. I currently hold a Master of Arts in Digital Storytelling from Ball State University and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Telecommunications from Youngstown State University.
In the spirit of full disclosure I currently own a very small amount of stock in General Electric (GE) and Six Flags (SIX). I also have holdings in DODFX and DODGX, both being mutual fund managed by Dodge and Cox. I also have a very small amount of money in Ohio's State Teacher's Retirement System.
