Boo GoogleTalk
So Google did release GoogleTalk this morning. You can get to it by going to the gmail frontpage, then going to the 'New Features' section. Two problems: 1) You have to have a Gmail account. I don't mind that, but some people don't want gmail. 2) They haven't released a mac version yet. That is just silly. Come on Google.

Some people don't trust it b/c it "reads" your mail and generates ads. Goofy people.
Also some folks are put off by the whole requiring an invite thing. Yahoo has expanded their email to like 1GB also. I was going to check out its VOIP capabilities of GoogleTalk though. Skype had an announcement yesterday too. GoogleTalk is also open source so it should be interesting to see what people do with that.
Yeah I'm more interested with what other people do with the open source than the program itself.
